FAQ

How do I Clean my Rug?

Cotton

We recommend vacuuming for general maintenance, spot cleaning with cold water and a mild soap and if a thorough clean is needed you can hand wash them with cold water and a mild soap. If you have a large rug we recommend a professional cleaner. Customers have washed our smaller rugs in a washing machine without an agitator but we have found each machine varies greatly and the spin cycle can damage the hand bound edges of the rugs. Therefore if you feel inclined to machine wash your rug please know it is at your own risk as we can not be liable for any damages.

Hemp

Our hemp rugs can be vacuumed using a vacuum without a beater bar to prevent the fiber from being pulled. Spot clean with cold water and if there are any solid food spills we recommend letting it dry and then removing with a dull knife. If a liquid is spilled, blot the area before cleaning and drying

Made to Order and Ready to Ship

All rugs listed as Ready to Ship are in stock at our Brooklyn studio and will ship within a week. Made to Order rugs are not in stock and production will begin after an order is placed. Made to Order rugs take approximately 12 weeks to ship but this is subject to change. If you ordered multiple rugs in one order, we will ship the entire order once all Made to Order rugs are completed. Covid has continued to directly impact our shipping timeline due to freight delays and these delays are ultimately beyond our control.
