Agate Iris Silk
Agate’s undulating color bands evoke the visually rich terrain of northern India, where natural rock formations and man-made quarries expose multi-hued layers of stone and sand. In this version, the effect is heightened by the earthy texture.
Agate is woven from discarded luxury silk that’s sourced from all over India, then cleaned and re-spun. Rugs made with it are ultra-soft, with a subtle luster and a greater visual depth thanks to the varied reclaimed fibers. Each rug takes a single artisan between four weeks and two months to finish.
- 100% reclaimed Indian silk
- Hand-woven in Rajasthan on panja looms
- ¼” thick with a medium weight and hand-bound edges
- Vacuum as needed without a beater bar. Must be professionally cleaned if stained.
*Since our rugs are woven with completely reclaimed hand-dyed silk, some colors many vary slightly from what is pictured. Please reach out to us directly to confirm in-stock colors. The red-orange and ochre colors in our current 2x3, 3x5 stock is much lighter in color.
